What are podium steps?

Podium steps are compact & mobile access platforms, designed to provide safe access when completing work at a height.

They are available in a range of sizes and are most commonly made from aluminium; though fibreglass versions are also available - for use when working on jobs where there are electrical hazards.

The advantage of podium steps is that they feature a secure platform to stand on, with a guard-rail all around it, an access gate and steps to access the platform. When standing on a podium step, you can work freely with both hands, and falls are prevented by the guardrail.

Do podium steps have wheels?

Yes, podium steps typically have wheels or castors at the base. This allows them to be transported easily. Podiums can be wheeled into position on site, folded out and locked into place quickly. Repositioning takes no time at all, and most models can be transported to site in the back of a van.
